CampControl distinguishes between exploration staff and expediting staff because the expediting function is often contracted to a service provider outside of the exploration company.

The CampControl system is therefore available in two primary versions:
CampControl Exploration and
CampControl Expediting
as well as a "combined" version for Exploration (Geological Management) Service Providers.

The difference between the two primary systems lies in how data access permissions are managed - such that, for the expediting version, expediting company employees can access the expediting data (orders, freight control sheets, warehouse inventories) for multiple exploration companies from a single logon - greatly enhancing their work efficiency.

CampControl (Exploration Company Version) is a web service allowing up to 50 users per company (more by arrangement), which is sold on a subscription basis to exploration and mining companies with a market capitalisation of less than US$200 million, at the following monthly rates:

* Rates (Canadian dollars) for new contracts may be changed without notice.  Contracts may be extended (without breaks) for at least two years without an increase in rates.
** In "hibernation" mode, CampControl may be used only for query, reading and reporting purposes, and not for adding (eg: timesheets) or updating (eg: inventory records) data on the database. Hibernation mode is intended to reduce the cost of CampContol to companies with strongly seasonal activities.  CampControl Support (support@campcontrol.com) needs to be informed at least 3 business days before the start of a month for which the operating mode of a CampControl account is to be changed from normal to hibernation, or vice versa.

Monthly subscription dues are payable in advance by credit card or by money transfer into CampControl's bank account.  Conditions governing Exploration Company subscriptions to CampControl are set out in the CampControl Exploration Company Account Customer Service Agreement, to which is attached a blank copy of the Account Activation Agreement.
