Downloading Video Tutorials
If, after viewing
a low resolution version of a tutorial, you
decide that you would like to see a
better-resolution version, but are hampered by a
slow internet connection, we suggest the
following action:
Right-click on the link shown
on the right to the medium- resolution version
of the tutorial, and select the "Save target
as:" option to save the Windows Media Video file
to your hard drive.
You will then be free to
continue with other tasks while the video
downloads.
Once the video has downloaded
completely, double click on the file you saved
it into, and it will start up in your browser.
This has the added convenience
of leaving you with a copy of the video tutorial
on your computer to share with other potential
users or evaluators of CampControl.

Slow
Internet Connection Support Page
Listed below for access over slow
Internet connections are small, low-resolution versions of all
CampControl video tutorials. While the visual content of these
tutorial versions is considerably downgraded from the originals, the
audio remains very clear and informative. The medium resolution .WMV
files may be viewed directly by clicking on the appropriate link, or
they may be downloaded by right-clicking on the appropriate link, and
selecting the "Save Target as:" option to save them on a local disk for
later viewing.

Optimising the CampControl Dashboard for slow
Internet Connections
When logging on to CampControl, the first page to
appear is always the CampControl Dashboard, an example of which is shown
below. (Click on it to enlarge it.)

The Dashboard can be configured by each user to
display different categories of recent information - such as Orders,
Timesheets, and Travel Bookings. The more categories of
information configured to show on the dashboard, the more data there is
to load onto the page.
When Internet communications are slow, configuring the
Dashboard to display only minimal information, as shown below, should
make it display much faster.
